Not much to look at this week. I'll have a bigger post next week with all time highs/lows. Also, look forward to a mini-set review for the new Commander decks. I haven't decided if I'm going to fit it into Magic Monies on the 11/11/16 or do something separate.

Commander 2016
Commander 2016 spoilers are coming down. We only have 9 more new cards left to be spoiled, but their are still quite a few cards left to be determined in the decks. There were a few surprises in the latest reveals.
First was that [mtg_card]Daretti, Scrap Savant[/mtg_card] is being reprinted. It would make sense that Wizards is going to reprint the entire Commander 2014 cycle of Commander planeswalkers in this set. That feels a little odd to me, but I can understand Wizards wanting a Planeswalker in each deck. Helps the deck sell to casuals. I would have rather seen them go deep with older, less played planeswalkers or come up with some new ones. Either way, I suspect this means a pretty sizable drop to [mtg_card]Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury[/mtg_card]. She is easily the most expensive of these planeswalkers, going for almost $12. She certainly can't take up 33% of the price in a new deck. The rest are will probably settle down to around $5. Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury still has the highest potential, because elves.
Second, [mtg_card]Iroas, God of Victory[/mtg_card] is getting a reprint. I note this because I was under the impression that the Theros cycle of gods was pretty much never going to get a reprint. This tells me we should expect a some cycle of them in these decks. A logical guess would be enemy colors, which would put a hit on the higher priced [mtg_card]Athreos, God of Passage[/mtg_card], Iroas, God of Victory, [mtg_card]Keranos, God of Storms[/mtg_card], [mtg_card]Kruphix, God of Horizons[/mtg_card]. If they expand to all gods or just do a random cycle, that opens [mtg_card]Mogis, God of Slaughter[/mtg_card], [mtg_card]Phenax, God of Deception[/mtg_card], and [mtg_card]Xenagos, God of Revels[/mtg_card].
Lastly, to fix the inevitable awkwardness that is a 4-color deck, the set will have actual dual lands. So far they have only showed off taplands ([mtg_card]Dragonskull Summit[/mtg_card]), painlands ([mtg_card]Karplusan Forest[/mtg_card]), and classic filter lands ([mtg_card]Darkwater Catacombs[/mtg_card]). The classic filter lands almost never see printings, so new printings should be popular for Commander players. More relevant is that an ally painlands made the cycle. They haven't been reprinted since 10th Edition over 10 years ago. They are relevant because they are needed to play Eldrazi in Modern. If [mtg_card]Adarkar Wastes[/mtg_card] (going for $12) or [mtg_card]Brushland[/mtg_card] (going for $15) see reprints in this set, they could crash pretty hard. They simply can't take up 33%-40% of the deck's price.
I'll go more in depth with the set once the full decklists are announced.
