As we get closer to the release of Commander 2016, the prices of the new cards are causing havoc with the APIs. So I'm not going to spend much time talking about it. Instead, since it's the first Magic Monies of the month, We'll do All Time Highs/Lows.

Let us talk about [mtg_card]Pact of the Titan[/mtg_card]. Soon after last week's Magic Monies, this card exploded to over $5. Why? Because the Pact cycle is broken and horrible. Pact of the Titan is arguable the worst of the cycle of cards. All of them have had their time under the sun, including [mtg_card]Intervention Pact[/mtg_card] which recently spiked from [mtg_card]Madcap Experiment[/mtg_card]. All of the Pacts combo with [mtg_card]Hive Mind[/mtg_card], it just Pact of the Titan is fairly rare in Hive Mind decks. So, back to my original question. Why did this spike? Well, this was a probably a speculation buyout. I don't expect anything to come from this. If you have any Pact of the Titan, go ahead and sell. Hell, the entire cycle could be reprinted in Modern Masters 2016. There is no reason to buy into this.
Daaaaang. That foil [mtg_card]Leovold, Emissary of Trest[/mtg_card]. I have really no other words for this. To get tot he point, Conspiracy: Take the Crown went relatively unopened. I suspect the number of foil Leovold, Emissary of Trest out there is VERY low. The only way this price drops below $150 is if it gets a foil reprint. That is something that might not ever happen. I would think if this card gets reprinted, it would be in a Commander set where it wouldn't have foils.
A Note About Commander
The Commander 2016 set review was going to be fairly short. It's not anymore. It's pretty through, and I regret that. So I'm not going to say much hear except that [mtg_card]Silas Renn, Seeker Adept[/mtg_card] and [mtg_card]Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa[/mtg_card] are legit cards from this set. Probably not $15 card, but they are fairly good. But the biggest card from this set may be [mtg_card]Atraxa, Praetors' Voice[/mtg_card]. It fits as the commander of just so many decks.

Notes:
- [mtg_card]Copperline Gorge[/mtg_card] is here because of the power of Zoo in Modern. It's a good land for decks trying to kill people with [mtg_card]Atarka's Command[/mtg_card].
- That [mtg_card]Flusterstorm[/mtg_card] price is completely insane. Why hasn't this card been reprint yet?
- [mtg_card]Maelstrom Pulse[/mtg_card] was just reprinted people. At this price it's a likely reprint target again. Just stop.
- [mtg_card]Remand[/mtg_card] isn't a terrible buy at $5. Fairly meta dependent card.
- [mtg_card]Thoughtseize[/mtg_card] continue to stay low, which I believe is something I pointed out before. I suspect this may hold for awhile, but this card may NEVER get reprinted again. You have a while, but should think about investing into it. It's just too good in this game.
