Finally, some big scores this week in BQBL. We also somehow managed to have 3 benching for poor play. This is a new experience for me. Anyway, sorry this one got posted up way later than I wanted. That's my bad. More importantly, I need to hype everyone up for what is possible the best BQBL game of the year!
This Week's Top 3:
3. Blaine Gabbert – San Francisco 49ers: 110 points
The awesome quarterback situation in San Fran strikes again. I have to be honest, I never thought this team would just be this bad. We're talking one more win then the Browns. Who have run through 7 different quarterbacks this year. But back to Gabbert. He was brought in because Colin Kaepernick was terrible in the first half. And proceeded to be about as bad. Low passing yard and yards per pass gave him the Worse than Nick Foles award for both stats. He gave up a safety late in that game.
2. Blake Bortles - Jacksonville Jaguars: 121 points
Bortles throws into Portals took down second in back-to back weeks. He had 3 turnovers with 2 INTs and a fumble, one of which was returned for a defensive TD. That got him the Worse than Nick Foles award in QBR, which is damn impressive. That's a hard one to get.
1. Ryan Fitzpatrick - New York Jets: 137 points
Oh, Pickspatrick. The the big one is he was benched in this game. But he wasn't just benched for the game, he was benched for the rest of the year. That deserves some sort of bonus when the starter job is straight up taken away from you due to poor play. Speaking of poor play, he threw 1 INT and had no TDs this game. He also managed to get Worse than Nick Foles award in Passing Yards and QBR.
Individual Top 10:
Quite a few changes this week. Fitzy took back his top slot after a few consecutive weeks on not making the field. Case Keenum is in freefall since losing his spot, allowing Bortles to pass him and steal the 3rd place spot. Jameis Winston and the now I just assume dead Cody Kessler fell out to the Top 10 to make room for BQBL Lifetime Achievement Award winners Eli Manning and Ryan Tannehill. We all should have known Taintehill wasn't that good.
Team Points:
I thought I try a new chart. This on sums the total points among QB from the same team. I thought it would be a nice exercise for teams that have been swapping QBs throughout the year to get their prestige for not actually having a QB. So, here the first batch of that.
As you probably could suspect, the team that's runt through 6 different players in the QB position takes the cake in this one. More impressed myself that Fitzy has been so bad he has a 152 point lead over the Kaepingrab combo in San Fran. Also, if your curious how Arizona gets to be so high, it's because Drew Stanton is amazing.
Team Fantasy:
THREE HUNDRED AND FREAKING NINETEEN POINTS? Bro, I'm already dead.
What to Watch in Week 14:
There are plenty of terrible games this week. And I could go through them all, but instead I'm focus on one game. This is the mother of all terrible games. I mean terrible. It will consist of horrible BQ play. There may be more defensive scores than offensive scores. IT IS THE NEXT FLINT MEGABOWL.
IT IS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS. THE NEW YORK JETS.
FIZTY. KAEPINGRAB. THIS IS BQBL PERFECTION PEOPLE.
DO. NOT. MISS. THIS. GAME.
